Last Saturday, I got a call from a friend. He said, "Hey, let's hit the boat and watch some planes!" How could I say no to that?
We hopped into the Sunsation and set our sights on Streich's – a place that is always fun. But before we headed out, we decided to take full advantage of the beautiful weather and our camaraderie. After all, the right company is half the charm of any journey.
We launched from the Mill Street boat launch in Oshkosh. The sun was shining, the breeze was gentle, and it seemed like the world was ready for a good time – just like us.
As we cruised along, we noticed that the waters were full of fellow boaters. It was a real "boat party" out there! Streich's was full of boats and plenty of people ready to have fun. And if that wasn't enough, the EAA event was overhead, with planes soaring across the sky. Later in the afternoon, we went In search of the best view, we decided to head over to the East end of the lake to get a closer look at the airborne spectacle.
The day passed in a flash with laughter, stories, and the occasional splash of water. We captured every fun moment on video and took enough photos to fill an entire scrapbook.
As we reluctantly headed back to shore at the end of our day, we talked about this boat trip that turned out to be an awesome run on the water with some damn fun boating friends.
Here are a bunch of pictures for you to check out as well as a video slideshow of all the photos or you can see all the pictures on the Wiparty Boating Photo Gallery.Â
