Friday nights have a way of turning the ordinary into something special, especially when they involve a last-minute dash to the local watering hole. This past Friday was no exception as I found myself steering the course to Plank Road Pub. The draw? A one-man show known as Backstage Pass, promising good tunes and, hopefully, some good company.
Walking into Plank Road Pub, it's like stepping into a familiar scene; the kind where everyone might not know your name, but they're happy to learn it. Behind the bar was Brenda, a friend and the kind of bartender who greets you with a smile that's as genuine as the cold brew she serves up.Â
The place had a nice crowd gathered to watch Backstage Pass do his thing. The setup was impressive for a one-man show, with three guitars on deck, ready to tackle any song that came to mind. The Bose sound system filled the room nicely.Â
Amid the tunes and the clinking of glasses, I ran into a few familiar faces, including my buddy Wayne from the Sand Bar Bash. Catching up over a brew, surrounded by the energy of the pub and the melodies of Backstage Pass, it was a reminder of the simple joys life offers.
As always, I made sure to capture the moment for those who couldn't make it. Photos and videos to give you a taste of what the night was like.
So, here's to nights out, to spontaneous plans, and to the places and people that make them memorable. Until the next adventure, cheers!
