On Friday night, Maloney's had a new band in town, and I was excited to see them. The Random Maxx band from Milwaukee was up next, so I had to go check them out. The band had set up in the bar area with some serious equipment, including powerful sound systems and light bars to take the show up a notch. However, the only weird thing was that they didn't seem to crank up the light show, and the lights stayed in a slow repeating red and blue sequence - every photographer's nightmare unless you're looking to capture a Smurf or embodying that devilish look.

The two lead singers in the group were fantastic, and you could tell that Bo, the male lead, had been around the block and had it dialed in. Katrina, the female lead singer, was hilarious. She made reference to her nerves on a few new songs, but she did a fantastic job. They played a wide range of songs, including some oldies, and the show was excellent overall, and the band was a lot of fun.
