On Friday night, I was on the lookout for something to do and stumbled upon the 432's band playing at The Hawks Nest in Little Chute. Despite never having seen the band before and not having been to The Hawks Nest in quite some time, I decided to call up a few friends to meet up there. The venue is located right off Hwy96 of main st., but the parking lot is not particularly large, and as I arrived, I noticed cars parked on the other side of the road. Fortunately, I was able to find a spot.
The establishment is not very large, featuring an almost sunken-style bar that may be a result of add-ons over the years. It is divided into a bar area and a room that resembles a dining area, where the band was set up for the night. The bar overlooks the river and has a spacious deck out back. My friends and I took a moment to check out the dock and walkway, which seemed to be under repair, but we thought it would be worth revisiting once the weather warms up.
Overall, we found The Hawks Nest to be a clean bar with good service. The 432's band put on a great performance, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the music. They added their own unique touch to the songs they played, giving the songs a cool vibe. To be honest, we would have loved to stay longer to listen to the band, but the bar was not very crowded, and we still had plans to catch The Frank Childress and the Mainstreet Band at Maloney's.
