I love checking out different bands because you never know what you're going to get. Friday night, I noticed 7000apart was going to be at Waverly. Naturally, I had to go see them. I discovered that this was a two-piece acoustic show, and from the moment they started playing, it was clear that there was something special about this duo.
The chemistry between the two was palpable. You could tell they love music and are deeply in sync with each other. Their voices blended beautifully, and the joy they brought to their performance was infectious. As I listened, I learned more about their unique story, which made the experience even more compelling.
7000apart consists of Amelie and her husband, Jon. They met in high school when Amelie was a foreign exchange student from Sweden. At the end of Amelie’s exchange program, they were heartbroken to be forced into a long-distance relationship. Against the odds, they made it work by writing songs together while being 7000 kilometers apart for three years. The duo got married in 2016 and moved to the U.S. Recently, they moved back to Sweden but continue to travel between countries, sharing their love for music and their heartfelt songs.
Their performance at The Waverly was intimate and genuine. Each song told a story, and their harmonies reflected the deep connection they share. It was a treat to watch them perform and see their love for each other and their music shine through every note.
The night was a wonderful blend of beautiful music and a touching story of love and perseverance. If you ever get the chance to see 7000apart live, don’t miss it. Their music is not only enjoyable but also a testament to the power of love and dedication.
The full band 7000apart will be performing around the area. Make sure to check out the Acoutic or the full band. I know I am going to be looking to see the full band soon!Â
Check out the photos and videos I captured to get a glimpse of the magic that 7000apart brings to their performances. Rock on, my friends!
