Saturday night, I decided to swing out and catch a band I haven't laid eyes on yet. The Almost Normal band was performing at Game Day Sports Bar in Appleton. It was the year's first gig on the outside patio and open door bar. This joint has got it going on when it comes to hanging outside and soaking up the weather. They've got this massive bar set up with fancy glass garage doors that open up to let the air in. They have a spectacular open bar area, with a stage that's large and in charge, facing the bar. Not to mention, they've got two cabanas overlooking the patio, adding a touch of class. And hold onto your seats, because on the flip side of the bar, there's this massive table with a gas fire line that stretches for days. Oh, but wait, there's more! They've got two other large fire pits with seating all the way around. It's like a fiery oasis back there. But that's not all—there's even a playground in the back, because why not? They've gone all out and even thrown in a putt-putt course and about four cornhole games to keep you thoroughly entertained. The band did an great job of keeping the crowd rocking, and let me tell you, the lead female vocalist is an absolute blast to watch. She was rocking some serious high heel shoes and still managed to bounce around and jam out like a total rockstar. It was a blast of a show, in a fantastic location, with warm weather to boot. Seriously, what more could you ask for?
