Hey there, fellow adventurers and music lovers! Get ready for a thrilling tale about a day that rocked Fond du Lac, Wisconsin like never before. It was the Bago Barge and Beach Bash 2023, and boy, was it one for the books!
Now, let me set the scene for you. We gathered in front of Roosevelt Park on a day that Mother Nature decided to turn a bit mischievous with some strong winds. Unfortunately, a few folks couldn't make it due to the gale force wind conditions, but that didn't dampen our spirits one bit.
Picture this – a fleet of boats braving the windy waters to be part of this incredible event. And who could blame them? The Paper City Trio Band was playing and they didn't disappoint. These guys hit the stage and rocked it out like the true pros they are. They had a repertoire that spanned everything from rock classics to country gems and even a dash of rap – it was a musical rollercoaster!
The best part? These guys aren't just talented musicians; they're an absolute blast to hang out with, and we're proud to call them friends.
Now, let's talk about dedication. My buddy Chad, from the band, deserves a special shoutout. He'd just come straight from doing a show in Crandon the night before and, in the excitement, forgot to pack shorts. Can you believe he rocked the whole day in blue jeans? Talk about commitment!
Behind the scenes, we had a dream team – Casey, Jeff, and Maggie, all working hard to keep things running smoothly and get the barge set up for the crowd. It was a day filled with fantastic music, surrounded by friends, amazing people, and that scorching sun we all love.
I want to take a moment to give a big shoutout to our sponsors, Mercury Racing and 5 G Benefits. These folks have been incredible to work with, and their support made this event even more special. I can't forget our friends from Hexco who gave us a seadoo pontoon for the day to transport the band back and forth from the shore. Which worked out fantastic.
As the day came to a close, there was one little hiccup – the axle on the barge decided to call it quits just a block from my house. I couldn't help but feel thankful it didn't happen on the highway! Sometimes, life's little surprises keep us on our toes.
But here's the bottom line – none of this would have been possible without all of you who showed up and support our site. We genuinely appreciate each and every one of you.
And, of course, I was on hand throughout the day capturing photos and videos, so you can experience the magic of this bash for yourself. Until next time, my friends – keep rocking on! 🚤🎶🌞
