Hey there, party people! Friday night rolled around, and when my buddy Cassandra mentioned a jam session with a blues artist from across the pond, you better believe I was all ears. So, off we went to Foxleys in Downtown Appleton for a night of music and BYOB shenanigans.
Now, let me tell you, Cassandra had already got some videos of this blues maestro, Keir Hicks, tearing it up at an open jam session at Hide Away bar that Paper City Trio put together, so naturally, I had to go check him out.
Pulling up to Foxleys, I snagged a spot in the back and made my way in. Turns out, they're cooking up something really special on the first floor—a fun new music venue! The vibes were just right, with a cool stage and that classic old brick building feel that set the perfect stage for Keir's bluesy tunes.
Now, I could go on and on about Keir—there's a whole story there, that I am hoping to get into later—but let's focus on the music. This guy's got soul, folks. His bluesy style had the whole joint swaying, and I found myself swept up in the vibe.
I don't know about you, but when I find an artist like Keir, you can bet I'll be keeping an eye on him. The man's got talent, plain and simple.
Oh, and did I mention we've got photos and videos? That's right, folks. I've captured the magic of the night just for you to check out.
So, whether you're a blues aficionado or just looking for a good time. Keep your eyes peeled for more from Keir Hicks, and until next time, keep on jammin'!
