Hey there fellow adventurers! Welcome back to the blog for another exciting adventure! This time, I've got a tale to share about our thrilling Sunday Funday out on the pontoon boat.
Cast Off and Reeling in Fun!
Last Sunday morning, my buddy, my little man, and I embarked on a journey from the Manitowoc Street boat ramp in Menasha, all set to make the most of the sunny day ahead. Armed with fishing gear, we hit the water, ready to catch some finned friends!
We cast our lines, but we didn't get super lucky! We only caught a few sheephead and a couple of small perch. So it was time to move on.
Splashing and Grilling at Waverly Beach
After our fishing escapades, we decided to cool off with a splash at Waverly Beach. The water was perfect for swimming, and the warm sun embraced us like an old friend. We even brought along our trusty grill, and you know what they say – food tastes better by the water! We whipped up some hotdogs.
Conquering Challenges: The Menasha Lock and the Tayco St Bridge
With full bellies, we decided to explore further down the river. Our destination? The famous Menasha Lock! With the locks being closed the water was full of weeds. But the real test of our navigational skills came when we approached the Tayco St Bridge. The clearance under the bridge was just about 2 feet above the boat top! My little man was a bit anxious which added to the fun.
Cherishing the memories.
As the sun began to set, we slowly made our way back, grateful for another amazing day on the water. The thrill of fishing, the joy of swimming, the sizzle of grilling, and the laughter shared under the bridge – made this a day to remember.
So, my fellow adventurers here's to simple pleasures, warm sunny days, and the magic of a pontoon boat.
