Thursday night, I headed out with a friend to see the much-anticipated performance of ABBA’s music by the band Arrival from Sweden at Oshkosh Waterfest. The night promised beautiful weather, a gorgeous sunset, and a vibrant atmosphere. It didn't disappoint.
As we arrived, the first thing we did was head down to the seawall to see the boaters. It’s always a treat to catch up with friends, and this night was no different. We ran into a bunch of familiar faces and shared a few drinks while taking in the picturesque scene. The boats, the people, and the sunset made for some great photo opportunities.
Once the sun dipped below the horizon, it was time to head into the venue. The crowd was scattered across the lawn, eagerly awaiting the performance. We wandered around, soaking in the atmosphere, and then found a spot just as Arrival from Sweden began their set.
The moment they started playing, the crowd was electrified. It was amazing to see how many younger people were grooving to ABBA's timeless tunes. It seems ABBA's music is as popular as ever, transcending generations. The band, Arrival from Sweden, did a fantastic job of capturing the essence of ABBA. Their energy was infectious, and their performance was a joy to watch.
From "Dancing Queen" to "Mamma Mia," every song was met with enthusiasm and cheers. People danced, sang along, and enjoyed the warm summer night. It was a perfect blend of nostalgia and celebration, a reminder of why live music is so powerful.
Overall, it was a wonderful summer evening filled with great music, beautiful weather, and good company. If you ever get the chance to see Arrival from Sweden, don't miss it—they bring ABBA's magic to life in a way that's truly special. As always I have video and photos for you to check out.
