Back-to-Back Band Madness at Maloney’s!
After getting my 90s and 2000s nostalgia fix with Karen’s Hit List, my night wasn’t over—oh no, the party was just warming up. Next stop? Maloney’s in Kaukauna, WI, for a double dose of live music goodness featuring Outlaw’d and Grand Union.
When I walked in, Outlaw’d was already on stage, cranking out an hour-long set of foot-stomping tunes. They were electric, commanding the crowd with their energy and making sure everyone was singing along (or at least trying to, depending on the beer-to-lyrics ratio). These guys don’t just play music—they live it, and the crowd was eating it up.
Once Outlaw’d wrapped, it was Grand Union’s turn to take the stage. While I’d missed their first set, their second set made up for it. They pulled out some unexpected tracks that had the whole room buzzing—like a perfectly curated playlist, but live and way cooler. A little rock here, a touch of country there, and even a surprise or two that had me thinking, Did they just play THAT? Spoiler: Yes, they did, and it was awesome.
Let’s give Maloney’s a shoutout too—this place knows how to host. The bands were set up in the back room, which is an ideal music venue. Plenty of space, solid acoustics, and bartenders who keep the drinks flowing faster than you can say, “Another round!” The vibe was perfect: intimate enough to feel connected but spacious enough to let you dance like nobody’s watching (even though everyone is).
I’ve got photos and video clips from the night, so if you weren’t there, don’t worry—I’ve got you covered. And hey, if you’re planning an event or want your favorite band immortalized in photos or video, I’m your guy. Posters, custom videos, you name it—I’ll make it happen!
