Saturday rolled around, and my daughter was itching to get out on the water. We recently got a different boat—a 30ft pontoon that, while not the prettiest, has a ton of potential for some music-filled fun. So, we decided to take it out and see how it would fare on the big lake.
We launched at Menominee Park and cruised over to Streichs. Everything went smoothly. It felt incredible to be back on the water, surrounded by so many great friends who were also out enjoying the lake. The sun was shining, the water was perfect, and the vibes were just right.
My daughter and a couple of her friends had a blast sunbathing and people-watching from the deck of our new pontoon. There’s something special about the first outing of the season—the freedom, the fresh air, and the sense of adventure. Even though the weather forecast only gives us this one perfect day before things turn, we made the most of it.
The boat, despite its rugged appearance, performed admirably. It promises to be a great platform for future gatherings, music sessions, and lazy afternoons. Here’s to many more days like this one.
Check out the photos from our day on the lake. Until next time, keep floating and enjoy every moment on the water!
