Boating season is almost upon us, and my buddies and I decided to check out Kendor Marine Corp in Franklin, WI. I've heard this place is like a junkyard for boats – they have everything under the sun! Even though I wasn't really looking for anything in particular, I figured, what the hell, let's go see what all the fuss is about.
So we loaded up Duwayne's Freightliner Sports Chasis (always a fun time) and hit the road with Duwayne, his son Gman, and Casey. The drive from Appleton down to the marina was just shy of two hours. However, it was a nice, easy ride with plenty of time for us to talk about our upcoming boating plans.
When we arrived at Kendor Marine Corp, we could see from the trailers, pontoon logs, and tow bars sitting outside that this place was going to be packed with boat parts. The building didn't look very big from the outside, but as soon as we stepped inside, we knew we had found something special. This place is ballpark a 12,000 square-foot building, and it's filled to the brim with boating supplies and parts. It took us a solid hour and a half just to walk through the place! We were told the place is run by the third generation and started back in 1969.
If you plan on visiting Kendor Marine, my suggestion is to bring a list of the parts you need with pictures and dimensions. The staff is super friendly and helpful, so they'll make sure you find everything you need. I'm definitely going to head back down once I get the boats out and figure out what I should have gotten on this run.
Overall, it was a blast spending the day focused on boating with the boys. Thanks for the invite boys!! And of course, you know how I work – I got some pictures and a small video to share with you all. Hope you enjoy it! See you on the water soon!
