What a fantastic Memorial Day weekend we had! I mean, seriously, it was like the weather gods decided to throw a party just for us. Picture-perfect skies, a gentle breeze, and the warmth of the sun kissing our skin—Mother Nature really outdid herself.
Now, when you have weather like that, there's only one logical thing to do: get back out on the water! I mean, who wants to waste such a glorious day indoors, right?
We arrived at the lake early in the afternoon, ready to soak up every drop of sunshine. And what's better than enjoying a day on the water? Doing it with friends, of course! We tied our boats together and formed a floating neighborhood.
As we strolled around, we bumped into so many familiar faces. It was like a family reunion, except with a lot more sunscreen. Streich's was buzzing as usual. There's something magical about being out on the water that brings people together, creating an instant bond of shared love for boating. We also checked out the Super Green machine!
On the way back pulling into the docks. A gentleman dropped his classic 18' Donzi into the water. Our jaws dropped, and we couldn't help but drool a little. This thing was a beauty—a sleek and sexy baby blue monster that exuded elegance and power. We couldn't resist the urge to start asking questions and learning more about this sweet ride.
As it turns out, the Donzi is actually a replica! They had built it using a mold, and the result was simply stunning. It was like a work of art on the water—an exquisite blend of craftsmanship and passion. We were blown away by the attention to detail and the dedication that went into recreating such a classic beauty. We got his contact information, hoping to get the full story and do a story on it.
Ah, boating. You never cease to amaze me. It's not just about the wind in your hair, the sun on your face, or the thrill of the waves beneath you. It's about the connections you make, the stories you share, and the fun boats you run into.
So, here's to boating, the ultimate escape from our every day and creating unforgettable memories.
I have a bunch of pictures for you to check out as well as a video slideshow of all the photos or you can see all the pictures on the Wiparty Boating Photo Gallery.Â
