I haven't had the opportunity to catch a live performance of the Red's Hot Chili Peppers, But this Saturday night they were playing at the Northland Ave Sports Bar and Grill in Appleton, Wisconsin. I arrived at the pub around 8 PM, just as the band was finishing up some last-minute tweaks to their subwoofer. Once everything was tweaked and tuned in, the show began and the funky energy was cranking.
One of the things that impressed me the most about the band was their lead singer, who also served as equipment manager and soundboard technician. Worked hard to get things dialed in and did it quickly. Sounds like a simple task but it is not. It was clear that these guys loved what they were doing and have a real passion for Chili Pepper's music. This, in my opinion, is what makes a great band - the ability to connect with the audience and bring them along for the ride.
Despite not having seen them perform live before, it was obvious to me that these guys had a deep appreciation for the Red Hot Chili Peppers' music. They were able to bring that love to the crowd. Overall, it was a fun and exciting show that I highly recommend checking out if you get the chance. I, for one, will definitely return to see them again soon!
