Nothing like a Wednesday night road trip to Milwaukee to see Theory of a Deadman on their Unplugged Tour with 10 Years and Cory Marks. My friend and I hit the road, tickets in hand for general admission balcony seating, and got ready to check out this killer acoustic set at The Rave.
After finding a $15 church parking spot (a steal compared to the $40 back lot), we headed up to the venue, and the Halloween decor on the outside set the mood perfectly—think haunted mansion vibes. Inside was no different, totally decked out for spooky season. Now, here’s where the night took a little twist—I totally forgot to charge my phone, so it died on me way too early. But I managed to snag some pics and clips before it gave up, so hopefully, you’ll still get a good feel of the show!
With general admission in the balcony, we wandered a bit to find a good spot. If you’re ever hitting the balcony for a show, definitely aim for center balcony seats for the best view (note to future self!). Cory Marks got things going with his gritty country rock, followed by 10 Years, whose hauntingly powerful sound took things up a notch. And when Theory of a Deadman hit the stage unplugged, they brought it. Even though the sound was a little muffled up top with all the bands, they turned the room electric with their acoustic takes on fan favorites.
So even though my phone cut out, the energy in the venue made up for it—there’s something about live music at The Rave that you just can’t beat. Enjoy the shots and clips I managed to grab, and if you ever get the chance to see a show there, don’t miss it (and remember to charge your phone first!).
