From Highway Hijinks to Punk Rock Mayhem: My Saturday Night Adventure
Saturday night rolled in, and I was itching for some live music—something new, loud, and full of energy. Enter Study Hall, a spot known for shaking things up with bands you don’t hear every day. But let’s rewind for a second.
The Pre-Game Disaster
Friday night, I was on my way to Thirst Bar when disaster struck. At 50+ mph, I ran over a tire and axle left in the middle of the highway. Instantly, I blew a tire, and the sound under my car was like a grinder going full throttle—not exactly the soundtrack I was hoping for.
Turns out, the wreckage was from a hit-and-run incident, and the car left behind on the scene had a front end that was absolutely destroyed. Meanwhile, the driver responsible was miles away, trying to outrun the police in a cornfield. You can't even make this shit up.
By Saturday, my car was in the shop, but that wasn’t going to stop me from getting my live music fix. Thankfully, Study Hall had exactly what I needed.
I rolled up to Study Hall for a much-needed dose of punk and rock.
Four Bands, One Wild Night
Study Hall was buzzing with energy, hosting a lineup of FOUR bands. I missed the first act (thanks to my tardy arrival), but as I walked in, I was greeted by the sonic boom of DogsBlood, a punk rock powerhouse from Madison. These guys didn’t just play; they shook the windows. The crowd was all-in, headbanging, jumping, and living their best punk lives.
Next up was Court Caust, and let me tell you, they cranked the hardcore dial to 11. The stage setup was quick, the energy never dipped, and the crowd stayed focused on the band.
Finally, Forcefield closed the night with a performance that hammered the crowd with pure metal fury. Their sound was relentless, and the energy in the room felt like a perfectly controlled chaos.
With a lineup like this, you get a mix of styles, raw energy, and an unforgettable night of tunes. From punk to hardcore metal, this was a night for the books.
The Aftermath
Of course, I captured it all—photos, videos, and memories of a night where music brought everyone together. Check them out and feel the energy for yourself.
