It was Sunday Funday and Scotty Austin came to Maloney's and kicked some asses. What a way to open the patio at Maloney's. This patio setup at Maloney's is pretty cool. A huge covered stage setup for live music, a great outdoor bar, and plenty of seating. Overlooking a huge field with Elk and Buffalo walking around. I got to Maloney's and the band was getting set up. First on stage was a band from Michigan that came in and blew the dust off the stage. The Citrus Orange band was juicy and ready to fire some serious energy. They played for around 45 minutes and the crowd loved it. Then out came Scotty Austin. He walked out and started getting the crowd ramped up. Asking everyone to come close to the stage and rock their asses off with him. This guy is a real kick. Before the show, he walked around and spoke to people and made it a very personal experience. Which is really cool to see. Scotty did a little talking about his life and what his songs are about. Some are party songs and some are deep stories about his life. I know I say this all the time. But I believe it to be true. Artists that pour their hearts out and bring passion to songs I believe are the best. Scotty defiantly does that. When the show was done the band hung out and talked to everyone they could. Super cool. So much fun with so many cool people. On a side note, we had a little tequila at the end of the show. Recommended by my man Norm. I am not usually a tequila guy and this stuff was super smooth and tasty. One to put on your must-try list - Gran Coramino.
