It’s that magical time of year when everyone’s a little bit Irish, and I couldn't resist the call of some classic Irish jams. So, I ventured to Venue 404 in Oshkosh to catch Sheamus Fitzpatrick and the McNally Boys live — and let me tell ya, two birds, one stone. New venue? Check. Killer band? Double check.
Walking into Venue 404, I had to stop and take in the architecture. The building’s stunning design and warm lighting gave off an old-school, retro vibe that perfectly set the mood. With a bar along the left side and a band set in the back of the bar, it felt intimate, though part of me wished they’d taken over the main building. But hey, whatever works, right?
Sheamus Fitzpatrick and the McNally Boys did not disappoint. From classic Irish hits to lively covers, they had the crowd raising their pints and stomping their feet. The energy was infectious, and the bar service kept things flowing.
I couldn’t resist sneaking a glance at the speakeasy area in the lower level of the building — locked up tight behind a massive bank vault door. It was closed, but the vibe was undeniable. I’ll definitely be back to check that out next time.
Great music, stellar atmosphere, and good vibes all around. I’ve got the photos and videos to prove it. If you haven’t experienced live music near me in Appleton, WI (or Oshkosh in this case), this is your sign to get out and support local bands like Sheamus Fitzpatrick and the McNally Boys.
