Saturday had started with the thrill of the Lake Winnebago Shiver Run, a day of high-speed adventure and wild waves. As the sun began to set and the chill started to set in, it was time to head home, warm up, and change into dry clothes. Little did I know that our day was far from over, and that night would bring more unexpected excitement.
Just as we got dry clothes on and started warming up, a friend's text lit up my phone. It turned out that a band called The Bandits was performing at Wilzke's Tavern in Menasha, not too far from my house. With the promise of live music and a corn roast, it was an offer we couldn't refuse.
Eager for some tunes and perhaps a hot buttered corn or two, we made our way to Wilzke's Tavern. The moment we stepped inside, we knew we were in for a good time. The air was filled the chatter of friends and strangers alike.
We grabbed our drinks and headed out to the open area where The Bandits were rocking a trailer stage. We braved the cold to enjoy the music. But let's face it, even the most dedicated music lovers have their limits when the chill sets in.
With a quick change of plans, we decided to venture over to Maloney's, where the Grand Union Band was slated to perform indoors. The moment we walked through the doors, we could feel the energy in the room. The place was packed, and the anticipation was electric.Â
The Grand Union Bands blend of live country music filled the room, and the bass notes reverberated through the walls. It was a spectacle of sound and performance that had everyone stomping their feet and dancing with abandon.Â
We also go a little treat with a taste of the upcoming show at Maloney's. ROCK VS COUNTRY show with Adam Lee & Betsy Theissen.
As the night unfolded, we found ourselves in good company. We ran into old friends, shared stories, and even made a few new friends along the way. It was the kind of night where the music brought people together, and the shared joy of live performance created an instant bond.
The night at Maloney's was a perfect example of how spontaneity can lead to some of the best memories. From the chilly winds of Lake Winnebago to the warmth of the Grand Union Band's music, it was a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns.
As always, I captured the moments in photos and videos so that you can share in the experience. Saturday had taken us from the Shiver Run to the heart of the music scene, and it was another unforgettable chapter in the book of adventure and friendship.
