New London AKA New Dublin St Patrick's Day Parade is in the books. What a run it was. We had a hard time getting the barge out of the snow. But it was all worth it. I am blessed to have a load of great friends that came out to brave the stupid cold weather. They made sure the WiBarge and Wihaulit truck were a hit in the parade. We headed to Hortonville early to get our crew painted up by Carl Mann as the Irish Kiss band. We headed over and got the WiParty barge set with banners and then set up the speakers and generators. So we could play some music and have the amazing Pat Pedersen set up to play music! Pat is such an amazing and talented friend. He had another gig later in the day. But making time to come makes the barge stand out even more. My good buddy Casey owns Wihaulit trucking and he helped get everything set up from banners to pulling the barge out and hauling it to New London and pulling it through the parade. He also got the old girl back home the next day. I think we sat longer waiting to go than it took us to get through the parade. I had Brad, Dave, Scott Misty and Mike all stepping up to make this silliness happen. It was damn cold but everyone hung in there and we pulled it off. It was a blast going through the parade and seeing all the people looking at the craziness we brought. We made it through pulled the speakers and generators and pulled the barge up to my parent's house for the night. We took the crew down to the C&R Waterfront bar to meet another buddy Chris and his daughter. We planned on walking around more but never go any further. It was a river of non-stop people in this place the whole time we were there. Thank you to all of you! It truly was a lot of fun! We held out till around 6 PM and decided we need to go see The Glam Band. That will be the next story posted!
