You know it's summer when Waterfest kicks off in Oshkosh. Thursday night was perfect—the weather was fantastic, and the boats were lined up strong along the boardwalk by the Leach Amphitheater. Walking up, I ran into a bunch of amazing boating friends, and we had a great time talking about our summer plans on the water.
I went in to see the Roadtrip band. They were shaking up the crowd as usual. Amy and the crew had everyone fired up, and I even got a shout-out for WIParty, which I really appreciated.
Next up on stage was the incredible Hairball band. This band is always a blast to see. With constant costume changes and a fantastic setlist of rock songs, they brought the glory of the '80s right to the stage. They played all your favorite legendary hits—from Van Halen, KISS, and Motley Crue to Queen, Journey, Aerosmith, and Motorhead—right before your eyes.
The show was a bombastic, action-packed Rock & Roll party, chock-full of surprises guaranteed to thrill. With an arena-sized light show, smoke, fire, and pyrotechnics, Hairball delivered an unforgettable performance.
Overall, it was an amazing night with great people, fantastic music, and wonderful weather. If you haven't yet, get out and hit Waterfest this summer! You won't regret it.
