Hey there, fellow adventurers! Are you ready to share another exciting chapter of our lakeside escapades? This time, we took the kiddos out for some good old-fashioned Sunday Funday fun on the pontoon. The plan? Tubing, tunes, and of course, some seriously delicious grill action.
With the sun shining high and spirits even higher, we prepped the pontoon for an unforgettable day. Grill? Check. Tube? Check. The kiddos' excitement? Double-check. We kicked things off near the Manitowoc Street boat launch, setting our sights on a spot just north of Waverly. Perfect weather, a smooth-as-glass lake – the scene was set for some smooth sailing.
With the tube all set and ready, we put my little man and his buddy in the tube. And let me tell you, my daughter was beyond thrilled to take the wheel and give her brother a run for his money on that tube. Ah, sibling love at its finest. We looped around, enjoying the clear water and endless blue skies, but alas, a pesky rope issue prevented us from achieving those epic tube whips we were after.
But hey, sometimes it's the imperfections that make the memories, right? The boys held on for a solid 15 minutes, their laughter echoing across the water. Soon enough, it was my daughter's turn to conquer the tube, and guess who wanted to take the wheel for her? Yep, her brother, of course. Unfortunately, the rope drag struck again, but it didn't dampen the spirits of our little daredevils.
The sun was blazing, and the water was calling, so we headed over to Waverly Beach. With hungry bellies, we fired up the grill – ever notice how everything tastes better on the water? Brats sizzled away as we soaked in the lakeside vibes, indulging in food, fun, and even tossed around the football. The kids grabbed some snacks up at Waverly, and that's when things took a hilarious turn.
Imagine this – we're chilling on the east side of the bar at Waverly Beach, when suddenly, music starts BLASTING from behind us. I mean, seriously overpowering the band kind of blasting. It took a moment to figure out what was happening. Turns out, a neighbor living a few houses down wasn't a fan of Waverly's tunes. So, he set up some large tower speakers on his dock, facing them directly at Waverly. Talk about sending a message!
I get it, you know? Both sides have their points. On one hand, living next to the music hub can be overwhelming, but then again, the lake's all about music and enjoyment. I couldn't help but chuckle at the creative solution, snapping a quick video to capture the moment. The music only lasted about 20 minutes, but I think his point was made – loud and clear!
As the day drew to a close, I couldn't help but reflect on the joy of spending quality time with my kiddos and my buddy out on the water. Laughter, memories, and good times – that's what it's all about. Of course, I've got the photos and a video to share, so join me in reliving the adventure!
Until next time, my fellow adventurers! 🌊🚤
