Ah, the night before Thanksgiving—a time when turkeys are brining, and adults are technically allowed to let loose before family chaos descends. With a rare free evening, I decided to go on a musical treasure hunt, searching for a band I hadn’t yet had the pleasure of seeing. That’s when I stumbled upon Spark Spark Bang, a Northeast Wisconsin Country-Rock band, who happened to be shaking things up at Duzzi’s in Kimberly. The rest, as they say, is history.

When I arrived, the band was already firing on all cylinders on Anduzzi’s fenced-in cage stage. The bar itself was cozy with a small but semi-engaged crowd, which made it feel like I’d stumbled into a secret concert just for us.

The first thing that hit me was that Spark Spark Bang brings more than just music—they bring an experience. Their diverse lineup of seven members, including the sound guy stepping in for guitar duty from time to time, kept things fresh and unpredictable. 

This band uses multiple singers who take turns in the spotlight, keeping the energy dynamic and the setlist unpredictable. They skillfully mashed together country and rock, keeping even the most genre-picky listeners on their toes. Think Garth Brooks meets Bon Jovi at a honky-tonk—and they’re both buying each other shots.

Of course, I couldn’t resist capturing the moment. Between the photos and videos I snagged, you can get a front-row glimpse of their talent.  Whether it’s a country anthem that gets your boots tapping or a rock hit that makes you headbang, Spark Spark Bang delivers a musical punch that’s worth the trip.
