Thursday nights in Wisconsin are always filled with promise, especially when live music is on the agenda. This week, I found myself drawn to Northland Sports Bar, expecting to catch Blues Talk in action. Little did I know, the night had a surprise in store for me.
As I walked into Northland, I was greeted by the familiar and friendly face of my friend Pat Pedersen, right by the patio door. Seeing Pat was an unexpected delight, and I couldn’t wait to catch up. However, I was curious about the music for the evening, so I asked Pat about Blues Talk. He informed me that someone in the band was sick, and Kip Jones had stepped in to take over the show.
If you know me, you know I’m a fan of Kip Jones and Pat, so I was more than happy to grab a beer and settle in for the night. The Kip Jones Band never disappoints. They brought a fantastic energy to the stage, with Kip's charismatic presence and exceptional musical talent on full display.
What made the evening even more special was the addition of a talented female vocalist who joined the band for several songs. Her powerful voice added a new dimension to the performance, making the night even more memorable. The mix of multiple singers and a variety of great songs kept the crowd engaged and entertained throughout the night.
Northland Sports Bar provided the perfect backdrop for this impromptu musical treat. The service was, as always, on point. The staff at Northland know how to keep the drinks flowing and the atmosphere lively. And the patio? It's always a fantastic spot to enjoy live music, with its open-air vibe and great acoustics.
Of course, I couldn't resist capturing the night’s highlights. I have photos and videos for you to check out, giving you a glimpse of the magic that unfolded. The energy, the music, and the camaraderie of the evening are all there, ready for you to experience.
If you haven't yet, add the Kip Jones Band and Northland Sports Bar to your list of must-see and must-visit spots. You never know when you'll stumble upon an unforgettable night like this one.
